I am Maria and I live in the beautiful city of Florence.

Having always been an art and history lover, moving to Florence inspired me to become a professional tour guide. It gives me immense pleasure to show visitors this fantastic region and amaze them with “the Renaissance museum” that is the city of Florence.
I decided to become a tour guide after noticing visitors walking around with their noses stuck in old guidebooks and maps instead of looking up and admiring the beautiful architecture and unique experiences that Florence has to offer. I obtained my tour guide certification in order to share my passion and knowledge about art, wine, food, Italian heritage and traditions and to give visitors a local experience that they won’t find in guidebooks! 

I provide classic must-see sightseeing tours of Florence and its museums and I can also build a specially made itinerary tailored to your individual interests! 

How about a day spent in the Chianti region visiting picturesque villages, vineyards, tasting wine and enjoying la dolce vita?

My goal is to offer you a Slow Tours experience, an amazing day in Tuscany spent learning about Italian culture, a mix of information about Florentine history, art, fun facts, secrets, legends, fascinating stories about the people that once lived in Florence (from Galileo to Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Machiavelli, Botticelli and many others), wealthy Florentine families, art patrons like the Medici and others. 

I can also provide information about local experiences such as homemade and slow food, cafe bars, original gelato, authentic “Made in Italy” shops and much more.
